18 Text input mode

To write messages, there are two writing methods:

Normal (abc mode): this lets you enter text by choosing the

letter or symbol on the key.

Predictive (eZi abc mode): this predicts the words you want to

enter, making writing faster.

To switch input mode (within one language), hold Alt + Space.

Alt key

: Press once to enter the character on the •

top half of the key.

Press twice to lock, so you only enter the •

characters on the top half of the keys,

then press once to unlock this.

Sym key :

Popup a symbol page to select special

characters using the navigation key (short

keypress)

Space key

Input a space character (short keypress)•

Switch input mode (long keypress)•

Shift key

Press once: Input a capital letter•

Press twice: Lock the keyboard in capital •

: Delete a letter or word (short keypress)•

Continue deleting letters or word (long •
