Chatting with your friends4.3.1
To start a chat, touch the name of a friend in your Friends list, then enter your
message and finally touch Send.
You can invite other friends to join in a group chat by pressing the Menu key,
touching Add to chat and then select the friend you want to add.
When chatting with more than one friend, you can switch screens by pressing
flicking your finger on the screen Left/Right side.
To return to Friends list screen, press the Back key.
To add a new friend4.3.2
From Friends list, press the Menu key to open options list and touch Add
Friend to add a new friend. Enter the Google Talk ID or Gmail address of the
friend you want to add, and then touch Done.
A notification with this invitation will be received by the friend. By touching the
invitation, the friend can select Accept, Block or Decline in response.
You can also check all invitations you have sent or received by going to the
Friends list and checking Chat invitations.
To close a chat4.3.3
When you want to end a chat, the following two ways are available:
From Friends list screen, touch Menu key and choose • End all chats.
Press the Menu key from chatting screen directly, and then touch • End
chat.

Besides adding new friends to your friends list, the following actions are
available for your choice:

By default, only friends that you frequently
communicate with are displayed in Friends list. To
view all friends, press the Menu key and Display
options, then touch Name. To return to displaying
most popular friends screen, press the Menu key
and Display options again, then touch Availability
or Recency.
To block a friend•
To block a friend from exchanging messages and
remove them from your friends list, go to chat screen
of this friend, touch Menu key and Friend info, then
touch Block. All blocked friends can be viewed by
pressing the Menu key and settings, select your google
account, touching Blocked friends, touch the name of
this friend and touch OK when prompted.

A series of settings are available for your selection by pressing the Menu key
from Friends list screen, and touch Settings.
IM notifications•
Select to activate notification function on the Status
bar when a new message arrives. You can also set a
notification ringtone by touching Select ringtone
or select Vibrate to activate vibration alert for this
service.
Mobile indicator•
Select to display an indicator icon along with your
name in other people’s Friends list.
Automatic when •
screen off
Select to set status as Away when the screen is
turned off.
Clear search history•
Touch to clear previous chat searches history from
showing up in the Search box.
