7.7 GPS
Your phone has a built-in GPS module to support basic GPS operation and 3
rd
party navigation
software.
Guidelines and Preparation for Using GPS
With a GPS receiver, you can quickly and accurately get the latitude, and the longitude of a
position from GPS satellite signals.
Note: The GPS signal cannot pass through solid non-transparent objects. Signal reception may be
affected by obstructions such as high-rise buildings, tunnels, bridges, forests, weather (rainy or cloudy
days), etc. Wireless communication products (such as mobile phones or detecting devices) may
interfere with the satellite signal, resulting unstable signal reception.
GPS Application Screen
Select Start > GPS. It shows the basic information, such as Time, Lat., Long., Height, Speed,
Degree, etc.
Using GPS Software
Your device supports expanding GPS navigation software.
If your GPS software does not automatically discover the GPS receiver on your device, set your
GPS application's configuration to COM2 and a band rate of 4800.
